I di not have a first aid kit so had to try and steam the blood with tape I have as back up in case of blister...

Hi Ben Nervous, I was at the top as we'll at 1300hrs, I walked up via the CMD, it had looked relativly clear till I got up and the the cloud just shrouded the hill and walk across to Ben Nevis. I also fell on the scree and cut my leg which is still sore, should have got a wee stitch in it but I have...

Re: Probably been asked before: Last one.....

Thanks everyone for thoughts, it's something I've wondered before and thought I'd ask. Not made my mind up what will be the one I aim for to complete, if I do get anywhere near the magic number I'd be happy. Also not some kind of weird anti social nutter, just thought I may struggle to drag someone ...

Probably been asked before: Last one.....

Just wondered what mindset you all get into when approaching the elusive 282!! I've seen a few people with 1 left, checked and someone has left Ben Lomond and seen Mull left to end as well. Now my low numbers are a long way off but I have thought what will I leave! My mindset is, I've did most alone...

Re: Bidean nam Bian - snow remnants

Hi, Done both last Saturday, path Bealach was covered in Snow, initially tried to climb down but gave up and skirted around edge till I dropped a good bit of height and then rejoined snow on more gentle slope, I was surprised by depth. Route up until then was fine and clear so came as a bit of a sho...

Not a walk report!!!

I was going to post a walk report from today but did not have the heart.... Ben Oss and Beinn Dubhchraig today, but can't find anything good to say. Left the car and got wet all the way to the top, the walk description does say wet but what a understatement, if the bog factor went to 10 wee whatever...

Re: Ben Lui recently?

Hi jimmy,

Did these 2 on Monday, crossed at river, water up to my knees, I'm just under 6 foot. Path through forest was a real bog!! Snow on route is minimal but still pockets on edges and top, all easy missed.

Just seen what time it is so this is probably a waste of time, your already in your bed.

White Mounth Munros, Glen Muick

Hi,

Was thinking about these at the weekend, has anyone seen the conditions recently? Obviously it will be weather dependant as it's a long drive from Glasgow.

Cheers
