(not sure about spelling of dermatitis!) anyway - both myself and partner had severe rash around lower leg/ankles from possibly the elastic in our socks? but oddly, whilst she has had it many times before I never had - it soon disappeared....could there be another reason for (a) the rash and (b) my ...

Thanks everyone - my first decent hill years ago was Sisty Dub and unfortunately my pronunciation hasn't improved since.

ps mynthdd is wrongly spelt but should be pronounced Min-ith (I think)

Planning on going to Rum in April.....I so cannot believe it will cost:

Newcastle to Glasgow £7.45
Glasgow to Mallaig £3.30 !!!!!!!
Ferry to Rum £4.15

ok I have a senior citizen railcard but even without.......so lets do public transport!

Boot cleaning

....just remembered to ask before (and forgive me if it's been covered before) but is it right that I should fill my dirty boots with lukewarm soapy water and leave to stand - to unclog the gortex?
