Re: Latest gear review: Socks

I'll be doing a multi-day journey in NW Scotland next month and I'm trying out a combo of a Teko Merino Ski Ultra Light sock under a NRS HydroSkin neoprene sock. Inside meshy trailshoes this combo should work well for the bog and river crossings.

Re: Haglofs trousers with sample on the label?

Manufacturers will generally make a batch of each new model to send out with sales reps or to reviewers before the goods go on sale. In most cases the product will be exactly the same as the retail version, but sometimes there are last minute changes. I frequently get blank instruction manuals as th...

Re: What would you like help with?

Hello Clive - This is a little fiddly, but not too complicated. You'll either be using the URL button above the text box for this, or copying the examples below and replacing the URL and text. EXAMPLE: Text You Want To Hotlink Gives you: Text You Want To Hotlink...

Re: Photo Competition Comments

Can the mods please change the link on page 1 from February to March :) I think it might be best to start a new thread for the March comments... "Photo Competition Comments for March" And a new link to the March comp on it. Other-wise the thread is going to get too many pages. Done. 8) I'...

Re: Walking Rage - Has Anybody Suffered This?

If you (wisely) want to avoid people - I recommend the dark green bits on this map (6.9MB file) from Scottish Natural Heritage.

Re: Camcorders (GoPro HD HERO2 Camera)

It's a tricky one this - I've got the GoPro HD Hero 2 you mention (the Contour Roam or Drift HD aren't really flexible enough for my purposes) and the suitability depends on what you wish to film with it. Sealed in the standard housing the audio is pretty dreadful (as you'd expect from a microphone ...

Re: How to add pic to Report

Hi - you don't say exactly which part of the picture adding process you need help with, so perhaps it'd be best to have a look through past posts in the "Help!" forum here. In fact, I've moved your original post into that forum.

If you've got more specific queries feel free to ask :D

Re: Ben Loyal Dog Friendly??

...and as always, take a look at the relevant section in the Scottish Outdoor Access Code before you go. There's a biggish banner at the bottom of many of the Walkhighlands pages with a link to this section of the code too (unless you've got a ad-blocker installed of course).
