Allways good to see kids on the hills, even if they only get half of it done.

Re: Loch an Daimh

I did the exact same route a year past June and coming off the Corbett, was and still is the steepest descent i've ever had to make. I spent a bit of time on the summit as well, not having lunch, but looking for an easy way down but unfortunately there isn't one.In the end i just went for it after c...

Spring time on Dorain & Dothiadh

Parked up at Bridge of Orchy station, went under the railway and onto the path that led to the bealach. The path leads all the way to Beinn Dorain, remembering in bad weather to continue past the large cairn and onto the true summit. our_route.gpx pic 1.JPG pic 2.JPG pic 3.JPG pic 4.JPG pic 5.JPG pi...

Mount Keen in all her winter glory

Headed off at 10am from Invermark car park, past the church and onto the track which had a bit of snow on it,this was due to the previous night after a heavy snow fall. We had an idea it had snowed as the road up had 4 feet snow banks up the sides. So anyway off we headed through the snow and it was...

Re: Whee on Beinn Bhuidhe

Hi Andrew Just did Beinn Bhuidhe myself on Monday, took the bike as well and enjoyed it even though the weather wasn't the best. Did you see the highland cows and calfs? I did Ben Vane and Ben Vorlich on Thursday as well, again on the bike which was a bit if a slog getting up that steep hill towards...

Re: Stob a'Choire Odhair and Stob Ghabhar with bike

Hi Andrew

Good report, been thinking of doing these two for a while now, with only the narrow ridge and scrambling deterring me but thanks to your report and photos it doesn't look too bad. Hope you got a suitable route off Beinn a' Chleib.
Found your Grandaughters report very amusing.
