Re: Blabheinn via the south ridge

Glad you had some great conditions for the views, your photos look fantastic. Being stuck in the office I am desperate to get out on the hills again!

Bidean nam Bian and Stob Coire Sgreamhach

I have always wanted to do this route and it didn't disappoint. I haven't had much chance to get out on the hills this year moving in with my fiance, then getting married last month and the honeymoon. Having had another good scan from the hospital too I'm determined to get some of the walks done I h...

South Glen Shiel Ridge, Sunday 24th June 2012

Planning either camp Sat night or early start from Glasgow Sun morning, the first is preferable given the length of the walk. It certainly looks easier as a 2 car job too!

Re: half an arete

The incident was very early afternoon. I think it took about an hour and a half or so for the helicopter to arrive although I didn't note the times. We were in glencoe Friday night camping, had a few jars in the pub and a nice sleep by the river. Seemed funny to wake up to a flurry in the morning :D

Hi all, just moved to Glasgow recently and looking to do some more walking this year than last. If anyone over this way fancies sharing fuel costs and getting in some good walks let me know. Cheers.

Re: Climber Falls at CMD Arete

Hi guys, I called it in from CMD summit. Had good phone reception. The two climbers were making their way up Coire Leis, the man that fell seemed to be able to get an axe in to some extent which meant that he didn't go down head first. The fall looked pretty far. His buddy did well making it down sa...

half an arete

Parked up near the visitor centre, good weather and made good progress up the path. At the lochan, we turned off and headed round toward the North face and the CIC hut. We decided to head straight up to CMD from the CIC hut, it is a pretty steep route up but I loved the views of the Ben all the way ...
