Reprising perhaps the best hillwalk in the Black Mountains. Monk's Dale, Bradwell Edge

More new areas of the Peak. Monk's Dale was lovely - wild and green; the second walk easy but scruffy in places. monksdale.gpx DSCN0835.JPG DSCN0837.JPG DSCN0838.JPG DSCN0842.JPG DSCN0845.JPG DSCN0848.JPG DSCN0850.JPG DSCN0853.JPG DSCN0855.JPG DSCN0856.JPG bradwell.gpx DSCN0862.JPG DSCN0864.JPG DSCN...

Holdstone Down, South-West Coast Path

Starting a long north Devon weekend with a very misty walk over the high point of the SWCP. Foel-fras via Llyn Anafon, Aber Falls

An implausibly summery February day for an out-of-the-way route to the far north of the high Welsh mountains. anafon.gpx There's a small on-map free parking square at the top of the very minor road west of the Aber Falls carpark. Hack up the gorsy hillside from there to meet a reservoir track and th...
