Broad Cairn

BROAD CAIRN This was a hike that I did last June with a friend. Having previosuly done Broad Cairn from Glen Doll in the snow, this would be a interesting perspective starting from Glenmuick car park in the Summer. The intention was to do Broad Cairn and Cairn Bannoch. 100_3710.JPG It started off as...

Re: Broad Cairn - Sloppy snow & Sickness

Love the pictures Chris! I remember doing Broad Cairn from Glen Doll in 2007 and the snow was unbelievable! I constantly kept falling through the snow, knee deep and waist deep. It was extremely tiring!! But worth the effort! :-)

Meall Chuaich

MEALL CHUAICH This was a strange one for me as it was my first hike starting from the A9. I was more worried about the car alarm going off by the cars/lorries speeding by than the rubbish weather!! 100_3861.JPG The starting point was the A9 layby 94 . From here onwards, it was a walk along beside th...

We left the carpark at Inverey, 100_4090.JPG and it wasn't long before we crossed the small bridge whic...
