Re: Best way to post photos?

Hello folks,

Sorry to hijack this thread, but can anyone tell me how to make the photos that you upload to your report pop-out like the one malky_c posted above?

Is this something to do with using flickr? (I just upload directly to WH at the mo, so maybe that explains it).

Many cheers,

Adam.

Re: Beinn Sgritheall - disgusting ascent well repaid

Alteknacker: just checked out your and malky_c's report from Bhuide Bheinn - cracking. That Loch Hourn... I really must start opening up to the non-Munros if these are the views you get. And now suffering slight photography envy (I'm blaming bad light and spindrift... and the fact that it was a came...

Beinn Sgritheall - disgusting ascent well repaid

our_route.gpx This was a very intense day, but totally worth it, as I hope the photos convey. A beautiful slow morning drive from digs at Shiel Bridge over the snowy Mam Ratagan, through Glenelg to the remote Arnisdale followed by a tense period of weather watching. Forecast was for very strong win...

Re: Glen Shiel - northeasterly 3

Yeah AK, luckily it's been a recurring theme for these hills, always seem to get the right conditions to do them justice. Quite straightforward this, and just doable on a short winter's day. Similarly torn between a festive trip north for possibly not much reward (MWIS outlook not promising) or hold...

Re: An arctic Ben Vane in snow and sun

First impression: 'quite a modest little jaunt this, uncharacteristic of Alteknacker' . Further reading has shed light on things  Cracking set of photos and descriptions for your last two treks. And very educational, as a comparative study. Currently trying to plan a few winter walks over the f...

Re: Mistakes Made and Lessons Learned - A Cautionary Tale

Keith, kudos for the honesty  As a largely solo walker too, I always carry a pack with sufficient kit to survive an unscheduled overnighter. But seeing groups with their seemingly weightless 15/25L packs, I've recently been tempted to scale back and take the risk. Although nothing came of y...

Re: On the way back home... a'Bheithir in the cap

Some cracking panos there Alteknacker, have often driven past these and wondered what views you would get from them but never taken it further. One for the future. And hope your face has recovered from the permagrin :D (tip: along with the pre/post walk hamstring stretches, I incorporate a facial wa...

Glen Shiel - northeasterly 3

our_route.gpx Hi folks, did this route the Sunday prior to the WH meet (when I gather some of you did it too) and got some alright photos. In short, a near perfect winter's day: lots of fresh snow, some blue skies and absolute solitude - bar the wildlife. Conditions were very initially very changea...

Re: AUTUMN WH MEET FRI 10TH/12TH NOVEMBER

Another cheers to Michelle and Jim for organising it and to the WH gang in general for making a newcomer feel welcome  Gutted to have to leave early but was very chuffed to finally meet some legends (despite their protestations and strange 'who? me?!' looks) and will defo be back. Despite some...
