Re: Trousers?

I'm currently using a pair of Mountain Equipment Apex trousers. Best trousers I've ever had. Stretchy in the right places, water repellent, wind resistant so they don't flap around at the summit and make you look like a right numpty and very very comfortable. Not the cheapest. Re: Ben Lawers and Beinn Ghlas

I did this route the day after you and I see from your pictures that weather didn't impove any. If anything it actually got worse! Despite the weather I completed the route in what I think is a very respectable time - 3 hours 45 minutes. I think the weather might have urged me on to get it finshed a...

Re: Memory Map

monty wrote:Hi Eskimo,
Once you have ticked the "Draw Grid" box you then have to tick one or all of the boxes of the "Labels"

This will then print the northings and eastings on the grid. Play about with it. :D

Thanks for the info - works a treat.

Re: Memory Map

Ye that certainly puts the grid lines back on but not the co-ordinates. Any other ideas?

Cheers!

Memory Map

Hi,

I just got a copy of Memory Map. Does anyone know if there is a way to include the grid co-ordinates when printing even if the area you are printing doesn't show them?

Cheers

Waterproof Trousers

Hi, I'm on the lookout for a quality pair of waterproof over trousers suitable for winter walking. Alternatively a good pair of mountain pants that would prevent the need for over trousers. Any suggestions? Also looking for advise on waterproof gloves. I have thought about the goretex mitten/ fleece...

Re: Ochil Hill Advice

Interesting choice of route. Depends a bit on dryness or otherwise of ground (pretty dry just now), wind strength/direction etc, but if I was doing this in good summer conditions I’d probably go along the track past Lossburn reservoir, across to Jerah (nice spot), then pick up a grassy ATV tyretrac...
