I use a Samsung s2 tablet with viewranger, nice big screen and only weighs 460g and have my phone with viewranger for back up.Uses very little battery on the tablet. Never needed to use phone as it's always worked perfectly for me. The white screen on viewranger sounds like you had not the tiles dow...

Re: Skinny jeans on the hill in winter?

Did a Corbett a few weeks back and my mate though he would join me , he's never walked in hills before and turned up dressed like he was going out for a nice evening meal.

Told him he would have to walk 50 metres behind me so nobody thought he was with me.haha

The boggy section was within the first mile or so and up to just...

Re: New kingshouse prices

Remember staying at the Rowardennen hotel whilst on the WHW and paying a similar amount and that was a proper dump accommodation wise although food and bar was ok. Inchnadamph H...

Re: Is my friend right??

Have a plan b .There are lots of superb hillwalks in the area. My first munros were the wee bookel , I can assure you sitting on the summit of them you would have no regrets at not doing Ben Nevis. There's a you tube video of someone walking it in April. In the very slim chance that conditions are f...
