Blackcraig, Blacklorg, Cannock Hill and Craigbraneoch

Wasnt too optimistic about the weather leaving the house this morning but the smirry rain and fog cleared into a cracking day by the time I got to Mauchline. Met up with my pal at New Cumnock and headed up in the one car due to limited parking space at Blackcraig Farm. Headed off through the farm an...

The weather forecast didnt look too great for this one but decided on the day to go for it. Picked up a friend at Barrhill and headed for the Bruce's Stone car park setting off with the dogs along the path beside the Buchan Burn up to Kilsharg Bothy. Started to rain and this stage but as we climbed ...

Ben Lomond

Met up with a friend at the car park at Rowardenan and set off with the intention of heading up the Ptarmigan ridge path. We were to busy yapping about the recent referendum to realise we were almost a mile past the turn of the WHW  None the less we were soon on our way, this time on the righ...

Ben Vorlich

Fraoch's second Munro and still not managed to acquire any volunteers/victims. Set off from the car park at Inveruglas and headed past Sloy Hydro and up the access road past the substation towards the dam. Turned right at the small cairn to mark the path. Steep going from this point on until near th...

Conic Hill

Nice wee short one. Parked at the car park across from the Oak Tree inn at Balmaha. The path has had a lot of work done on it since doing the WHW in 2011 and is in good condition. Set off from the car park along the WHW towards the summit with friend Katie and our 2 wolfies. Weather was mainly dry w...

Hill of Stake and Misty Law

Started off on a dreich Sunday morning with my dog Fraoch from the Clyde Muirshiel visitor centre and headed along the track towards the old barytes mine where the rain managed to stay away. Headed in a S/SW direction onto the open moor trying to follow quad tracks as much as possible. At this stage...

Re: Golden Eagle at Lawers Ridge

It is almost certainly fake, to get that sharpness in the fore, middle and background with a high shutter speed to capture the bird and correct aperture would be near if not impossible in one shot
