Gouthwaite circuit

Very windy day so decided to stay off the tops. The idea was to walk down the aquaduct and back up the railway, but it couldn't work that way; also I got distracted by some rocks I hadn't seen before.

Clear but cold day for an afternoon walk along the Wiltshire hill fort hills at the southern edge of Salisbury plain.

Middleham and Leyburn Shawl

Afternoon stroll that got a bit out of hand. Pleasantly warm for January with no wind or rain so turned an intended 2 hour amble into a longer excursion ending as the light failed.

Pen-y-Ghent in the cloud. As usual.

Pen-y-Ghent eastern round. Cloud on the top and a strong W wind so decided to go round on the sheltered side.

Windfarm walk

Christmas walk to blow away the cobwebs. Cloud level around 290m so in and out of the clag but ghostly wind turbines just in semi nebulous region.

Cwm Llan Horseshoe

First snow (Sleet) of the season for me. Blustery NW. and very cold on the tops.Snowdon summit was heaving but the rest of the walk was quiet.
