Re: Hi

Hi Shuggley and welcome to the site! You can record the Munros you've climbed on your own map by using the 'Munros - Update' button above.

Yes, I think we're very lucky to have Scotland. I wouldn't swap it for any of the other countries I've hiked in, and that includes quite a few!

Re: Lake district...

OK Grahams will be the next step on that front - though not for some time yet.

OK so we lied - Grahams will be available very soon.

Re: Username change and picture

Hi Mark Do you mean adding a picture that goes with your username? If so, go to 'User Control Panel' (look to the top left), then 'Profile', then 'Avatar'. You can then upload an image (as long as it's been made small enough) from your computer. You can't change your username yourself; if you want t...

Re: The Scottish 4,000ers in aid of MRT

Well done on going back. I get squeemish if I think about even my own misadventures (just dislocated knees a couple of times) so I think it probably took a bit of courage to head back to the spot. The weather looks almost the same in your photos too. If you'd like me to put a separate board on the F...

Re: Munro bagging system

Phew - I always get worried with these things! I think I should really make the changing region button submit your updated peaks as well as it isn't very intuitive.

Re: Munro bagging system

It should be working. After you've chosen your region and filled in some more checkboxes, are you clicking on the 'Update Munros' button at the bottom?

Re: Beinn Ghlas, Ben Lawers & Unstuc on An Stuc 29 Oct 08

 Blimey - a bit too much of an adventure that day! I find An Stuc bad enough in summer conditions - let alone covered in ice and a dusting of snow. I don't really think it's a go-er in winter without full-on mountaineering skills - it'd probably be a graded climb. Getting dark on the ridge do...

Re: Meall nan Tarmachan 26 Oct 08

Good report - I really like the rainbow pic. I was on little Ben A'an that day I think - and it was cold enough there!

Re: Isle of Rum

I did the Rum Cuillin traverse quite alot of years ago (I have more hair on photos :D ). Fantastic stuff; I found most of the scrambling either avoidable or easier than I'd expected. What would you like to know?

Re: Lake district...

OK Grahams will be the next step on that front - though not for some time yet. It is really our aim to be the best site for Scotland, after all. I had been unsure as to how many people actually keep track of Grahams. I had thought of putting the wainwrights or other English or Welsh hills on a diffe...

Lake District, Pennines, Wales....

Would anyone be interested in us having a trip report board and Wainwright map and pages showing who has climbed them and linking to reports (like the Munros / Corbetts) for the Lake District?

Re: Carn Mairg circuit from Invervar

Hi Alan

Carn Mairg circuit - I think it is possible in 6 hours if you are fit and move fast - best to leave yourself a bit of leeway though. Obviously soft snow etc. would make it much slower.

Re: Cac Carn Beag

Some good ones there - the one looking down the Black Spout gully is the best. It looks like it was cloudy on every other hill all around and clear for you on Lochnagar :D
