Ennerdale Day 2: Caw Fell, Crag Fell & Grike

Wet and windy almost all day
Hid behind the wall most of the time, no views and not much stopping
Very bleak and remote route
Mike finished his epic only half an hour behind me!
Fox and Hounds nice pub in Ennerdale Bridge

Ennerdale Day 1: Great Borne, Starling Dodd & Red Pike

Walked with Mike as far as Great Borne, then he sped off for his epic to Honister!
Beautiful sunny but windy day
Felt like a secretive route up Herdus via Bowness Knott & Rake Beck gorge
Stayed overnight at the nice Ennerdale YHA

Nidderdale

Mum's Birthday weekend based at Studfold Farm Activity Centre bunkhouse
Some snow drifts still on the ground
Weather grey, drizzled later on
Stopped at the Crown in Middlesmoor for a drink, nice pub with camping

Skiddaw House Day 2: Mungrisdale Common

Walked with Tasha & Mum
Lovely cold sunny day
Nice remote feeling area
North side of Blencathra was very wintery
Shovelled snow for the hostel road in the morning!

Costa Blanca: Sierra de Bernia

Intended to do the walk around the Sierra and through the tunnel (Forat).
Accidentally followed some flags (set out for a fell race) up onto the ridge, so carried on to the summit which included scrambling, ropes and chains.
Great fun and amazing views.

Costa Blanca: Collado del Llam

Walked from the Echo Valley Crags above Polop to (almost) the Collado del Llam.
The others were climbing.
Beautiful scenery, must go back and do Mount Ponoch!
Sunny day but windy at the Pass.

Moroccan High Atlas: Ras & Timesguida n-Ouanoukrim

Walked with Gavin on honeymoon :)
Route: East ridge from Tizi n-Ouagane (#21).
Blue sky day.
Fun scrambling on the ridge, horrible dagger like snow formations on the plateau.
Great arete crossing to Ras and steep (for me!) descent gully on the return.
More delicious food in the snug refuge afterwards.

Moroccan High Atlas: Jbel Toubkal

Honeymoon with Gavin :) Blue sky day, no wind and warmer than expected. Walked up the North Cwn/Col route and down the South Cwn/Col (#25). Found it hard going due to altitude only. Clear day, warm when no cold wind!
Really great route up Mellbreak.
Loweswater Fells very quiet.

Barf, Lord's Seat, Broom Fell & Graystones

Walked by myself.
Dry but clouds came in on Lord's Seat for a time.
Steep scree & scramble up Barf, one interesting move on the traverse.
Wythop Moss fairly dry.
Came across a Rally in the forest but managed to sneak through!
