Re: Who Daers wins

Hi JC, glad you finally got round to this walk. Just over a year since I also walked the Daer Donalds, though I'm very jealous of the weather you had, and by the sounds of things, decent enough underfoot conditions!

Re: Conachcraig: All eyes on Lochnagar

I really enjoyed Conachcraig, I did it with the 5 Munros on a hot Saturday last July. It felt like one long queue going up Lochnagar, yet I had Conachcraig all to myself! Not that I'm complaining about the peace and quiet, but its views into the corrie deserve to be seen by more!

Re: Walkhighlands Outdoor TV guide

On Sunday kicks off a daily 6 part series at 7.30 am with Griff Rys-Jones called something like Mountain, part 1 is NW Highlands, part 2 The Lakes. On BBC2, silly time of day, but I guess it will make in onto iPlayer. It's a repeat - not a bad watch, but I didn't think GR-J wasn't the ideal choice ...

Re: Who needs Munro's

Hi Fife Flyer - what a difference a year makes, me on the 29th March last year, on the way to Tarmangie! Re: Loch heralded to tourists but Ord Ban kept quiet?

Nice report of a lovely area! I was up here a month ago and like you went searching for the now removed stile, had a labrador with me too so no option to scale the deer fence! The gate was also padlocked when I was there  . Like you I'm amazed this doesn't appear on any of the leaflets for Lo...
