Re: Cautious or braver

I used to be cautious but Doomsday is less cautious but brave. But now we both throw caution to the wind and go to dangerous places to go where we need to go

Re: Lost dog on A' Mharconaich area

Cannot express how grateful we are to each and every one of you for what you've all done to help find our Benji. We'll never stop thanking you all and won't ever forget your kindness, thoughts and dedication. I'm really concerned that in this heat, any one out looking, especially with dogs, are goin...

Re: Lost dog on A' Mharconaich area

Did the 4 Munros + corbett today, no sign. Though I did have a thought ascending the first and getting close to an unsuspecting deer around 8am....... I dont recall this from any of the previous posts, but have you tried any searches from sunrise? I just wonder if Benji could do the majority of his...

Re: Lost dog on A' Mharconaich area

Maybe it's time to get the larger scale map out & see where he'd have to travel to get home... & search nearer to home then spreading NW-wards? Poster campaign likewise? I live NW of DD so let me know if you need any more paws on the ground around here. We'll take ANY suggestions at all, so...

Re: Lost dog on A' Mharconaich area

I didn't write earlier because I don't want you to think I'm making fun of you. Last year I wrote a similar post on a Swiss hiking forum to a lady whose husband went missing in the Swiss Alps. I told her I had the feeling that he was to be found on the other, initially unsearched side of the pass h...

Re: Lost dog on A' Mharconaich area

I have a couple of days off this week and can lookout/search. If you can post a map or list of where you would want searched I can combine it with my hill walk day. regards HelenK Many thanks HelenK. Shattered today with the day we had yesterday, so we're going out tomorrow instead. I'm not sure if...

Re: Lost dog on A' Mharconaich area

Yes, Ryanfae Scotland.....it's on the WHs facebook and twitter page... Fair enough! I've been reading through the posts but been paying more attention to the details rather than who's posted them, no offence meant David, didn't realise you'd been helping out so much and hats off to ya! I was thinki...

Re: Lost dog on A' Mharconaich area

Yes, Ryanfae Scotland.....it's on the WHs facebook and twitter page. David has been out looking for Benji loads of times and been an enormous help to us at his own considerable cost to provide any info, photo or otherwise which may be important to us, whether good news or bad and want it on here rat...

Re: Lost dog on A' Mharconaich area

Oh Holly, Benji will only be on low ground, he'll no go high any more I'm sure, as has others say too. We saw lizards Thursday quite low down but they did scarper when we almost stepped upon them.

I'm going to try not to think about the prospects of this being Benji's fate... :( :(

Re: Lost dog on A' Mharconaich area

Many thanks Holly, so very kind of you, your pal and dogs to come out next week. Really hope Benji is found before then... Some thing that a guy said to Ronnie today was a bit worrying though. The guy told Ronnie that an Adder could have bitten Benji on his leg. If this has happened, would Benji be ...
