Skye for me 8) HSC, it looks like we are heading for the same place at the same time again    We are going to camp on Skye from Saturday on for the following week (most likely Glen Brittle campsite). Re: Birthday walk above Loch Ness

Divach falls look big!
Just a couple of weeks ago I posted my photos from there (http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=11870). Divach falls were almost non-existent, just a tiny stream of water dripping down the rocks. What a change :D

Re: Plodda Falls on MAX

Impressive!
I visit Ploda falls quite often as I live in the area, but I never saw so much water in them
Last year during the big freeze the falls were completely frozen, looked like a postcard from Narnia:

Re: Whats Your Favourite Scottish Island & why?

SKYE it has to be!!!
I've done 9 hills on Skye so far (two Munros included) and I go back there every single year. My favorite mountain on the island: Garbh-Bheinn. My favorite place to lurk around: Coral Beaches.
Still the dreaded In Pinn is waiting

Sgurr an Airgid spring 2010

After a lovely April came the worst, wettest and windiest May since I can recall. The only hill we were able to climb was Cnoc Croit na Maoile (319m) which we did in pouring rain  . And as I have become addicted to writing reports I would feel awful if I didn't post anything for a long time, ...

Reelig Glen walk

Reelig Glen forest near the village of Eastern Moniack in an enchanting place for short walks. As it is only about 10 min drive from our place, we visit it any time we have an hour or so and just want to catch some fresh air. It is especially worth visiting in late spring. our_route.gpx From the For...

Meall Chuaich - winter memories

So far this spring we had luck. Weather was good and mountains smiled at us :D But to be honest, life is more than just climbing and last weekend I had a great taste of everyday: we spent Saturday and Sunday refurbishing our house. With a brush in one hand and a bucket of paint in the other, I tried...

Re: Isle of Mull - Carsaig Bay & Nuns Cave

I've never been to Isle of Mull. But I see it is full of surprises :D
You should call yourself lucky - you saw a unicorn (a goat version of it). Few people achieved this

Re: A'Chralaig and Mullach Fraoch-choire scramble

I also have quite a backlog, walks from different hills I'd like to share, but never enough time to do it... Then I go out again and bring more pics and the pile grows and grows    I only joined WH last autumn so a lot of stuff from last 3 years or so that is still waiting to be publi...

Re: A'Chralaig and Mullach Fraoch-choire scramble

Hi HSC, another great report. Are you never tired of getting out and about? :D :D It looks like we are drawn to the same areas at the same time    We were in Glen Shiel on 29th, the day before you. We considered doing A'Chralaig and Mullach Fraoch-choire, but eventually we went for Th...

Falls and forests of Drumnadrochit

After a couple of great adventures in Assynt and Glen Shiel during the long weekend I had a huge appetite for another mountain the following one. Unfortunately, on Saturday Kevin had to take our car to see a "car-doctor"  so the only day left for lurking around was Sunday. And w...

Re: Hunt Hill - along the ridges

Lovely wee hill - another one I didn't even know existed  And not that far away from Inverness. I have to explore it at some point.
The "moody clouds" pictures are great. Made me think the nature was angry for some reason  .

Re: South Glen Shiel Ridge

Great report :D :D :D That's a seriously long walk, congratulations on completing the whole ridge in one go!
Have to tackle these Munros myself, I'm not sure if I can do it like you did, think I'll divide it into two separate outings.

Re: Conival & Ben More Assynt

Hi everybody and thanks for your comments :D Wish I could magically make the good weather last... for all of us... Especially for the first week of June as we're off to Isle of Skye. Last year we planned a few Munros there, ended up getting flooded in our tent. Cuillins are really mountains for a go...
