Three Donalds from Carsphairn

ThreeCarsphairnDonalds.gpx A clockwise circuit of the 3 Donalds with a route inspired by Rockhopper . A good track to the ruins of the abandoned Woodhead Settlement. Re: My Heart Fell (Sank)

The Southern Uplands are very much less dramatic then their northern counterparts. They are rounder, grassier and not to mention generally not as high  But ... for me they have a charm all of their own. I love walking that area. Since they are less traveled by people, they tend not to haver an...

Re: Digital Maps and Recommended Apps?

I use Oruxmaps with OS maps plus GPX route. Its a pretty good app once you get used to. I would imagine it would be very capable for your needs. Note: It is a bit fiddly initially setting up OS maps. Oruxmaps itself does not support it directly due to copyright issues. I use Mobile Atlas Creator wit...

Re: Rain forecast this weekend - bloomin' typical!

The site to the west of Invergarry is Faichemard Farm Campsite. We stayed there a few weeks ago and were quite impressed. Its a small site with good pitches and facilities. Also very quiet and peaceful since its an adults only site :D Cheers for the response. Was looking for something more secluded...
