Bonus Ben Ledi 18

Sunday turned out all right despite a stormy few days .So an unexpected walk up Ben Ledi .Returned by the Stank glen and took a walk down to falls of Leny.

Tarmachan, no ridge.

Got to Meall nan Tarmachan ,felt crap ,went back down.Very cold wind ,wee dusting of snaw ,winter is here.

Sail Mhor

Another tough Corbett.Very wet underfoot ,struggled to cross the burn ,superb views of An Teallach and Fisherfield etc.Walkhighlands route .

Gaiters recommended

Quite boggy this one ,managed to beat the rain though.Also visited Corrieshalloch gorge and Mellon Udrigle beach ,very nice .Followed WH route(roughly).

Gairbeinn

Gairbeinn and Corrieyairack hill .Good walk ,not as boggy as expected,pesky clag came in as I reached Corrieyairack Hill denied me any views to the west .Nice glen if you can ignore the pesky pylons .Followed WH route .

Corranaich and Choire Leith

Another early start ,up the Lawers path and through an inversion to Corranaich first ,over to 2nd munro ,down and a walk back along the Lawers road .Very nice .

Braes of Abernethy

Another damp holiday Monday .Started by walking past Dorback Lodge and followed the track south east to where it turns uphill just past a shooting bothy .Headed then to Geal Charn Beag and then over some haggy ground up to Geal Charn .Nae views to speak off and a couple of heavy showers. Hey Ho ! :?
