Ha! Magic Monty! :thumbup:My thoughts exactly! I done the 3 peaks back in 2000 and we climbed Scafell Pike from Seathwaite.Ok,it's longer but a more gradual ascent and that's why we chose that route.

I don't agree with some of the statements that RickKamila has made so I will try and explain my view on this subject. Firstly,the idea that Aberdeen and in Inverness are good locations for SAR is fair enough but what about the west coast? HMS Gannet yet again was the busiest SAR in the UK last year ...

I proposed to mingsmissus on the summit of Blaven.It was her first ever day in the mountains and we had the summit all to ourselves for a while.We celebrated that night with a fab meal at The Three Chimneys.After that she was hooked on the hills! :thumbup:

Well done BC for an epic trip! I did smile when you mentioned "Weegies" I work offshore and although I am born and bred in Ayr I get "Weegie" quite a lot. :lol: There again,you " Fit Likeys"get a few names of your own! All credit to you for marching on in poor condtions...
