Hi LH, really like your pictures, the Dales look beautiful in the snow. A great walk too, bet you both enjoyed yourselves. I went for a walk in the snow this morning, we dont have it as heavy as you but I enjoyed seeing the fields covered in white stuff :D Something strange about that woman who jus...

Re: Film Stars in the Snow

The link worked for me LH, Great to see two tough northern lads showing the southern softies how to do it! I think I'll add this walk to 'possibly one for me and the boss!' she doesn't like heights, although I'm trying to improve her. Pendle Hill on Boxing Day was a triumph   Keep postin...

simon-b wrote:Those are great black and white pictures,LH, even if it wasn't intentional! It's good to be having a proper winter at last, instead of all the mild, wet, muddy conditions we've had recently.

Thanks Simon

Great to see the white stuff in our back yard for a change

Film Stars in the Snow

My pal Terry and I decided to go for a hike on Tuesday and planned a trip up to Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales. Unfortunately the weather put paid to that, far too risky down some of those roads and didn’t want to spend the evening stuck in a snow drift! So we decided to go shopping around York!!! Ha ...

I know just how windy it was up there it was savage and cold, I was at the top of Great Mell Fell at approx 2pm on the 30th having parked at the side of the road near the farm.

I wonder if we passed each other??

Re: Edinburgh to Falkirk by the Union Canal

Hi Morag,

What a wonderful walk, the pathways look much more walker friendly than some canal paths i could mention in my neck of the woods

Re: Sgorr a' Choise & Meall Mor, best views in the Coe.

Nice to see the snow covered tops and to read an alternative option in this wonderful area.

I agree with Rockhopper and Bananas work for me with plenty of H2O
