Apologies. This occurs when a phone lost connection and got a corrupted file when downloading - it blocks you downloading again. The fix is to open Chrome browser, and clear history (you don't need to clear passwords etc). This should delete everything downloaded to the app and restore functionality...

The maps in the app are the Walkhighlands maps which combine Ordnance Survey contours and topography with path data from other datasets. The final zoom level in the app is actually more zoomed in than OS Explorer for additional clarity. Login does not affect this.

Yes, as sunset tripper says, if you go to our GPS planner, plot your route and then download it, you can then upload the same file to your walk report to get a map as before.

It sounds like your phone won't let you download routes - you would get a message at the bottom if you do download a route, which is usually pretty fast as long as you have wifi or 4g at the time.
