Re: How did you get on in 2017?

I`ve 55 Munros left to compleat , so it looks as if I will hopefully get there - but not in 2017. Life gets in the way ! However in 2017 I do plan to go back to Skye, again on my Vespa - combining 2 hobbies into 1. Also hoping to stay in more Bothies. Well that was my comment posted on 4/1/17. In t...

Me & Oskar + Ruby , from the north face car park , a great day out , my 2 dogs managing the arete by the by pass route , still a wee bit challenging. Coinciding with The Ben Nevis Hill Race , i was unaware it was on that particular day. A wonderful day out , shame about all the rubbish folk leav...

Re: Fionn Bheinn, Beinn Liath Mhor and Sgorr Ruadh

I did Maol Chean-dearg + these 2 in June`14 - but from Coulags. It was a good route with the advantage of staying over in the bothy on the way out after a long drive up. Map route inc. on my diary report.

Re: Mamores barbecue: 10 Munros & 7 tops on a very hot day

Quite awesome Alteknacker  A mammoth day out. I ( lightweight ) only managed 3 of my planned 4 Mamores, which was just as well as Oskar injured one of the pads on his N/S front - well he does have 4 leg traction . A visit to the vet on the Friday and he was fine albeit with an anti-inflammator...

Re: Loch Mullardoch Round

Well done  , this epic is on my radar hopefully very soon. My main concern is whether 2 or 3 days , I`d rather enjoy it over 3 days - than rush it and push myself too much over 2 days.

Re: Luinne Bheinn from Sourlies

Hi all , I was thinking of doing Sgurr nan Ciche 3 from Strathan on Sun / Mon , staying over at Sourlies on Sun night then coming back over the 3 Munros on Monday. Then I came across this link. So Plan B, I`m thinking perhaps of bagging Meall Buide and Luinne Bheinn on Monday instead . Question is t...

Re: Bidein a Choire Sheasgaich and Lurg Mhor

Enjoy your "day trip " Ally .... too much effort for me for 1 day , besides I like Bothying. I did this pair in January from Attadale , a very friendly estate  - it was my 1st outing of 2017 - in great weather too !!!!!

Sgurr Choinnich Mor

A great day out, I was recently on The Grey Corries , but was too tired in hard conditions to include Sgurr Choinnich Mor , so I left it for another day - today. Parked up in Glen Nevis - me along with Oskar and Ruby my 2 standard schnauzers , and went via Steall Falls in full flow ! Never been ther...
