Excellent weather forecast for Thurs 23/3/17 so I took a days holiday intending to do all 3 Munros of The Grey Corries , snow from 500M onwards , often frozen with ice much higher up , deep wind blown drifts frequently on the ridge from Stob Choire Claurigh all the way along to An Caisteal , crampon...

Drove up on Thurs night & slept in car - becoming a regular thing now , too many miles to do it all in a single day. Re jmarkb - your map route.

That's the exact route I took in June `14 when I did these 3, I also stayed over the night before in the bothy.
But the drop back down to the bothy from Sgorr Ruadh via Bealach Mor was a lot rougher and harder than I thought it would be.
A wonderful area.

I enjoyed that TR very much.
Must get my 2017 outings started soon.

I`ve 55 Munros left to compleat , so it looks as if I will hopefully get there - but not in 2017. Life gets in the way !
However in 2017 I do plan to go back to Skye, again on my Vespa - combining 2 hobbies into 1.
Also hoping to stay in more Bothies.

I did these 4 from Inverchoran via Gleann Chorainn and the lovely Loch na Caoidhe - 28Km all in, I enjoyed it very much. No car park time issues at all, I slept over in the car at Loch Beannacharain - there`s a sizeable car park towards the end of the loch.

And I thought I had these 2 to myself on Saturday............. ! I set off earlier than yourselves just before 8am & was back at the car at 4. I have a love/hate relationship with all things " it " :lol: , so I`ve not put on a proper TR for ages :( However, I did put some photos on TH ...

A great day out - MWIS forecast a wee bit iffy , but I took the chance and went anyway. It turned out to be a grand day rain on and off briefly 3 times , really glad I took a chance on the forecast and went as the weather was generally very good indeed!! Off from home at 5.15 am and walking at 7.45 ...

Spectacular day in the hills , me and my 2 dogs Oskar & Ruby , drove up on Friday night and camped just before the Cluanie Inn - at the bridge over the River Cluanie that leads to Cluanie Lodge . Of course 2 pints at the inn and a whisky night cap too , stags roaring all night. Started late on S...

A decent day ouy , drove up overnight & slept I the car , Loch Cluanie was very busy with overnight parked cars . Set off too early the weather much improved in the afternoon , didn`t do the Forcan Ridge too clagged in & a wee bit wet. fotos and a video on TH via FB , a good pair of hills .

Great overnight high camp at Carn nam Fiaclan after ML. me & Oskar + Ruby - camped over on Sunday night and walked back our over the 2 Sgurrs` on Monday - fotos on F-Book via Talk Highlands - that me up to 221 now !!!
