Re: A'Chioch of Beinn Bhan

Thanks for the photos, would love to hear your thoughts on the difficulty of the scrambling and level of exposure? Other than an eroded squirm at the top, the scrambling is not too tricky. It doesn't feel particularly exposed either. However, it is not a route to be taken lightly. There is much loo...

Re: Second easiest Munro on Skye

Banachdich via Coir nan Eich is the usual suggestion trotted out for this question. There's just one issue with that route... it's rubbish (there are many good ways to the summit but they are not really on this site). I would suggest Mhadaidh and Ghreadaidh as a much better day out which also leaves...

I was only really meaning the slog up from the burn to the start of the scramble  - the glen is lovely.

Re: WALKHIGHLANDS AUTUMN MEET 25th/26th Oct 2019

Hi David

Put me and Seana down for a couple of beds please, ideally in same room but no problem if not.

Happy to provide a quiz if no volunteers yet.

Re: ' That ' Mullardoch 4 return path

The Allt Taig can be tricky. As ever in Scotland, the weather in the preceding day or two will dictate it's difficulty. However, if crossing it on the way back, it is only about an hour from the dam so wet feet should not be too much of a hardship.

Re: Ben Nevis north face, ledge route - suggested descent.

Yes, I've done it. It's not pleasant but quite possible with a bit of care.

I have another apology to make regarding this post and my reply. I made a major faux pas by confusing the gentleman completest with another poster to the Forum. I confused the gentleman with the gentleman who trades under the Forum name of 'past my sell by date' A "gaffr" one might...

Re: HELP! Needs suggestion on walks around Fort William

A car gives you a lot more options, although I still think my original route is a decent choice ( ).

Here are another couple of suggestions...
