Hi, looking for some advice please. Looking to do a trip in the summer months up to the cairngorms. So far the plan is to walk out from the Sugar Bowl car park, through the Lairaig Ghru and pitch the tent around the Corrour Bothy area. I was hoping to do Carn a' Mhaim the same day and was wondering ...

I agree, that is a cracking picture but having tried and failed to get up the Lawers road in the winter once before I might leave thi...

Meall Bhuide in the snow

For a nice change, didn't have to get up in darkness to do this hill, so a semi long lie in and a wee saunter up in the car meant myself and Joyce were at the start point just before 12noon. Met by a large number of deer mulling around, quick jump into the boot to get the camera and .....no SD card!...

Looking for advice on a good down jacket for hill climbing. I've been looking at Rab gear specifically but looking for alternatives. With it coming up to xmas, just getting the wishlists in early!! :D

Re: Being a proud Dad - part 1

Being a proud Dad - part 1

Back in August I took my eldest son Zac on his first camping trip and for his first Munro. We were meeting friends and their kids late Friday afternoon to climb Carn a'Gheoidh on the Saturday after a "wild" camp and BBQ on the Friday night. With the good weather at the time (yes...there wa...

Re: Camping, castles, red wine and Cruachan

Cracking photos especially the Dam ML. I had to convince him (quite a few times) that the route would be sooo much easier than other routes I had taken before and that he would be fine.
