Time for the first clue: BA was a SB is just a statement of fact, but to most users of this website would appear to be an oxymoron. Hope that helps.

Thanks Tim, I was doing something completely different when I looked at your clues and hurriedly put down what I could remember, as I haven't been getting much of a look in recently. My favourite Messerschmitts were the bubble cars with tandem seats in the 1950s-60s, there used to be one in occasion...

Correction. Of course that is a ME 262 Sturmvogel, but Hess flew to Scotland in a ME Bf110....

... and the F is Floors Farm...

Hmmm.... I am not sure i like being told I am old enough to be your father... but I am just

Messerschmitt Bf110. Rudolf Hess, Eaglesham, Duke of Hamilton, Dungavel House etc... not sure about the F, and only prisoner in Spandau for many years..that I remember...

Greylags through the fence

These few greylag geese were grazing in a field by Morton, East Calder on my lockdown walk today. They are probably part of a small resident population that can be seen and heard throughout the year. That brought back the memories of the school boy laughs we had about Shag pipe tobacco in the 1950s, especially as three other leading brands were St Bruno, St Julien and Three Nuns......

Not sure about the BB, but it could be Balfour Beatty, will remove Radium pollution (radioactive particles) from Dalgety Bay - remaining from when aircraft using instruments painted with radium were scrapped there after WW11. This work is supposed to start next month? Spot on - the announcement abo...
