Re: Piles of Stones

As soon as I leave the gate to my property I am on someone else's land that may be publicly or privately owned. That's one of the most sad statements I have seen on this website and the sort of thinking that doesn't belong in Scotland and certainly not in the highlands . :( What's an unreasonable v...

Re: Conival and Ben Mor Assynt - WOW!

Great report and pics. One of my favourite walks in this area though probably second to Suilven for me. If you ever do it again the ridge out to the south top of Ben More Assynt is a great add on with one part that has a short airy scramble. Looking towards BMA summit over the scrambly bit of the so...

Re: Piles of Stones

As soon as I leave the gate to my property I am on someone else's land that may be publicly or privately owned. I therefore have a responsibility firstly to the owners to only do such things as I am permitted to do by law or by permission of the owner and secondly to all who may legitimately have a...

Re: CMD guide quest

Hi Marjan. I would certainly not pay £100 + for a guide. Also I dont see the point of going up Ben Nevis on a wet day or a day of poor visibility. :?

Re: Bidean nam Bian: Stob Coire na Lochan east ridge

Hi skawt100. I think the reason so many folk take the other route is because that's the route described in "The Munros" book which is or was the munro baggers bible before the internet took over. I've tried both ways and the walkhighlands route is a finer walk though slightly longer which ...
