Re: Beginners advice

Hi, try the "Search all walks" feature under the Walks menu at the top.

There's no filter for timings but if you play around with the distance option I'm sure it'll bring back a few choices for you :)

Ditto your remarks about the walk reports posted on here, I've found them really valuable at times too.

Re: Lost Dog - Arrochar

Really hope your friend finds her dog soon, unfortunately I'm a bit far to help out but I'll be keeping an eye on the thread hoping for the best.

Have you posted the same info on other walking sites?

Re: a Lost Mojo

Sorry to hear you've lost your 'mojo' - I know exactly how you're feeling :( I lost mine in 2012 while on my annual trip north from Bristol. I was half way through my week away and had bagged the Ring of Steal the previous day. The next day I was meant to finish the eastern four Mamores beginning wi...

Re: PHOTO COMPETITION #41

Great batch this month, difficult to choose again...

1.Nigels3011
Great exposure and the low saturation of colour make it my choice

2.xpfloyd
Classic shot, great colours. Cloud movement to add a sense of excitement, fab

3.Tinto63
Nice mono shot, like it a lot

Re: Liathach - tumbletots in Torridon

Another great report, photos are great even if you didn't get the best views possible.

I bet your heart skipped a beat when you felt that rock giving way, not the best mountain to have that experience on. Glad your ok though, I'll remember this next time I'm on any scrambly bits.

Re: The Dreaded Return

Great photos there, that's the sort of weather I'd need to do this one :)

First report I've read on this one for a while and it hasn't put the fear of God into me, you made it sound easy!

Re: Summer on Macdui on a special day

Nice report and photos, bringing back the memories of when I did these - seems too long ago now. Did pretty much the same route up the first two and then added Derry Cairngorm on for good measure! I took the bike all the way to the Luibeg Burn crossing before stashing it and hiding my spanners/repai...

Re: Greetings from Dundee!

Hi Harry, welcome to Walk Highlands. Oh to be a young whippersnapper again! I started this bagging lark quite a while ago and hope to get all those blue balloons before too long, unfortunately distance from the hills and unlike yourself I feel time is not on my side :) I'm sure you'll find plenty of...

Re: The Penultimate - Gillean

Great report with some scary photos in there, you're brave to tackle this on your own. I don't mind the odd scramble, the thing that would worry me is the weather closing in and not being able to see where I need to go/be. Looks like you had great weather though, perfect. Good luck on your completio...

Re: 12 hours around Loch Arklet - Lomond, Choin and more

Nice report Malky.

I doubt most of us will get the views of these hills that you did, always good to see them from the 'usual' angles.
Looks like you had a long but very enjoyable day, timed to perfection with the rain appearing just at the end :)

Re: A Wonderful Return to the Great Herdsman

I loved this walk when I did it a while back, one of my favourites by a long way.
Looks like we did the exact same route almost.
Your excellent photos are bringing back those memories, thanks :)

Re: Sunset, Stars & Sunrise on Buachaille Etive Beag

Have to agree the photos are stunning, excellent report.
The star photos are cracking, maybe you specialised in astrophotography in a previous life
