Re: King's Seat - A Gentle Reintroduction to the Hills

I know what it feels like to return after a long lay off, the good thing is, that euphoric feeling you get at the top never seems to go away :D It definitely has been too long, and the funny thing is......my regular hiking ...

King's Seat - A Gentle Reintroduction to the Hills

Forgive me for I have sinned, it has been nearly a year and six months since I was last out on a hike or a walk……………but I have good excuses! The last hillwalking experience was in August 2010, but unfortunately personal circumstances meant I had to leave the hills behind for a while :( but its all g...

Re: Meall Chuaich...my xmas Munro

Although Meall Chuaich can never be described as an exciting Munro, the occasion will mean I remember it fondly in years to come...my first ever xmas Munro. You're right, it's not an awe-aspiring munro, but with the aquaduct and dam, its something different to enjoy :-) Congrats on your first xmas ...

Re: Glen Dessary 3 - possibly the best walk yet!

Great report! Was there a few years back but the weather was awful, so we stuck to the bottom of the valley. The ground conditions were boggly dreadful!! The drive alongside Loch Arkaig indeed seemed neverending!!

Re: Mount Battock from Glen Esk - slight variation

Hi Chris,

I really enjoy reading your reports especially as some of your walks I wouldn't even have considered or known about, but after your cracking reports and photos, its has made me look at different routes and hills for future walks.

Cheers!

Broad Cairn/Cairn Bannoch

Broad Cairn/Cairn Bannoch

A lovely spring hike in 2007, where we had Sun to begin with, then snow, then hailstones, then rain before the sun came out again!!

Fantastic walk indeed!! :-)
