Living off the land in the winter in Rannoch would be very tough. even people who used to live off the land would work non-stop all summer hunting and preserving food for the winter. i.e drying and preserving fish, meat, & herbs. he also would have needed a good supply of very fatty food to help...

I think it all has to do with Alex Salmond and his referendum. He's trying to make Scotland into a strong country, it's got so many Natural resources that just get sent to England.

I don't find wind farms an eyesore I like them, I don't like pylons.

Not to mention Loch Ossian munros and the ones en route to Alder.

amazing day out 15cm of snow overnight, the driving was hectic but once we got there the trails were all fresh with lovely deep powder which the snow shoes made nice and easy!!

when we flew over Quebec we were looking at frozen ocean and plains but nothing here!!!

jammy yes and no.
I had to work 11 months straight to get there.
our hotel shuts 1 month a year and staff have to take holidays in jan.
it's nice having the long time off but you need it!!

in manchester airport atm heading to canada!!!
