Re: Skye Munros in June

Well done sir! The In Pin is on my none-too-distant to-do list and it's threads like this that give a confirmed exposure fearer like me the inspiration that I'll make it up and down. Cheers

Re: GRADIENTS

I can relate to this as a fellow fearer of exposure. Unfortunately as I continue to be exposed it isn't getting much better. Maybe you just get more used to it. Over the last few years I have continued to test myself in situations which would involve exposure and sometimes it's ok, sometimes it's no...

Re: Controversial Confessions

Take care out there, if everyone chucks away their banana skins then the non-crampon wearers will be skating down the slopes on them in the winter.http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2009/sep/24/bananas-litter-hikers-mountains-scotland

Re: A nice couple in the cairn gorms

I am the man from Gourock; was good to bump into you on the summit (almost literally given the cloud conditions). It was great to get a wee peak at the other peaks on the summit. Golf is rubbish; don't let it spoil a good walk :D

Re: Snowdon Horseshoe

Amazing set of pictures there, just brilliant. At the beginning of the month I had to beat a retreat from Crib Goch and head to the summit up the Pyg track in zero visibility and constant rain. Nice to see what I missed :D

Re: Snowdonia Rocks: Scrambling on the Bochlwyd Horseshoe

Some great photos...new camera? Was just thinking why the hell did you wear 4 season boots....wear your trail runners next time  That route looked great fun and something i want to try. Shame about the Snowdown Horseshoe. I guess Davie and Co did this Friday? Your turning into a climber man :...

Snowdonia Rocks: Scrambling on the Bochlwyd Horseshoe

With a fairly bleak MWIS forecast in Scotland coinciding with a bank holiday weekend, it was finally time for our first venture to Wales. Last New Year’s Eve we had created a wish list of peaks and places to visit in 2013 as we counted down the clock: the chance to sample some Snowdonian scrambling ...

Re: The Cowboy Heart of the Monadhliath

Tomsie, didn't get a chance to reply before the weekend but would be interested to hear how the snow conditions have changed. The only very small area of hard snow was on the way to Carn Dearg and it was avoidable. Klaasloopt, thanks for the compliment about the title. I love the wide open spaces of...

Re: The Big Grey Hill, the Red Peak & the Cold Hole of Torri

Smashing set of pictures there Graeme. I decided to keep Fuar Tholl for a separate day when I did the munros (the grey yin and the red yin). Thought it looked so good it deserved a day to itself.

Re: Aonach Mor and Anoch Beag from Glen Nevis and a bonus of

Looks like you had a cracking day for the pair, the views from them are excellent. Last month I had to descend AB in a blizzard which was a bit of a challenge to say the least. Cheers for sharing :)

Re: Blown away by the Windy Peak

Cheers Paul, have you become a fair weather walker now? Actually, chasing the weather's no bad thing. It happened that Sgor Gaoith was just about the best we had on offer last Sunday .Hoping for better views in Snowdonia this weekend. Catch you later dude.
