Conquering the Needle and Beinn Narnain

Brian, Mick and I... Went up the good side of the Cobbler, Great weather, no wind so we all got up the needle to the true summit... at last! Down the steps and up Narnain. Very long, hard slog down from Narnain with a dodgy knee. Cracking walk and great day out.

The Cairnwell 3

Brian, Mick and I... Scarred hills, leisurely pace. Visited Carn Binnein (or something) west of Carn gheoidh... This made our day with great views offered in all directions, and added to the distance/ascent. Decent weather, stayed dry.

Meall Bhuidhe

100mph + winds, driving rain and hail... damaged my right eye.
Mick, Brian and myself... I really struggled with fitness on initial ascent, after a bad hangover weekend.

Re: Blue Skye day

Congrats on the 2nd prize... well deserved indeed.
I had planned a full traverse of the Cuillin ridge this summer but recently cancelled.
This report has seriously whetted my appetite and I really want to get the plan back on track now.
Thank You, LeithySuburbs.

Ben Donich

Brian, Ross and I... And Lorraine, who lasted 15 minutes. Glorious day, clear skies, severe wind. Ears hurt and struggled breathing in the wind... Buff tube saved the day. Beautiful views of surrounding hills and beyond, great wee vantage point. Decent pint in Lochgoilhead but perfect day turned sou...

Re: Crianlarich1: Ben More & Stobinian - The Round

I did these 2 in late July, and, true to form had no views whatsoever!
Really appreciate the pics... might need to do it again some day and would definitely consider your route.

Oh yeah... the route up the hillside from Ben More farm IS steep... big time!

Nightmare.

Brian, Mick and I started at Derrydaroch. Brian twisted his knee on the way up Chabhair but wanted to continue. Walking at an angle across the slopes of stob glas killed our feet, taking a long time to get to the 1st summit after going off route. Brians knee got worse on the descent but e still kept...

Ben More and Stob Binnein

Difficult initial climb, weather started good but deteriorated, around half way up we were in the clag, didn't come back out it until we were well on our way back down... Long and tiring for Paul... Ross handled it very well, the 2nd ascent to Stob Binnein really tested us all. Note to self: Keep Ro...

Terrible weather... set off with Marc, Brian Allan and Ryan... 3 hrs later Marc and I got to the summit, half an hour later the others appeared... miserable and getting cold for having been up there so long (1 hr total).
