The day started promising with wall to wall sunshine. I was up for getting some great views as the forecast promised exceptional air quality. It was a long walk down the glen to the point where I actually started climbing Beinn a'Chreachain, but I was glad I followed the route, as some fellow walker...

A great day in all sorts of weather on Bidean nam Bian & Stob Coire Sgreamhach. Started with an amazing drive up under impossibly blue skys, so the fact I then got snowed on - more than once - shows the wonder that is Scottish Mountain weather. Wow, that's an excellent video! Serious question: it looks to me the ridge is doable without crampons, would you agree? What a day to challenge the waterproofness of your kit. Conclusion is Gore Tex Paclite jacket did a great job all day, but the less said about the waist down, the better.
