Beinn Achaladair and Beinn a'Chreachain

The day started promising with wall to wall sunshine. I was up for getting some great views as the forecast promised exceptional air quality. It was a long walk down the glen to the point where I actually started climbing Beinn a'Chreachain, but I was glad I followed the route, as some fellow walker...

Re: Snow & sun on Bidean nam Bian

I was up there on Saturday - the weather wasn't quite as nice, but great fun :) I cant believe such a short route could be so hard on the feet! Did you go up the climb at the end of the lost valley or down? I went down and found it bloody terrifying  Nice pics you got, well done! :D Down - I w...

Snow & sun on Bidean nam Bian - video report

A great day in all sorts of weather on Bidean nam Bian & Stob Coire Sgreamhach. Started with an amazing drive up under impossibly blue skys, so the fact I then got snowed on - more than once - shows the wonder that is Scottish Mountain weather. [b]Here's a wee video report... https://vimeo.com/3...

Re: Cruachan - quite nice!

wow, some of the best photos I have seen in a while. If the resolution is high enough have you tried putting them up for sale on istockphoto.com Might make you a few pounds as well as having an awesome day.

Re: A perfect day on Ben Cruachan, until the moonlit hobble

Cracking account, gsaboy. Can you tell us what the pieces of music used in your video are, please? Music is creative commons stuff, so that I can use it on vimeo. I got them from: http://ccmixter.org/find-music The ones used are: DLDN Instrumental (ft. Onlymeith, Mellotroniac) Echo (ft. Infaredhaze)

Re: A perfect day on Ben Cruachan, until the moonlit hobble

Wow, that's an excellent video! Serious question: it looks to me the ridge is doable without crampons, would you agree? (even though one might feel more at ease with crampons); I see you doing it with crampons, but without axe. Would you agree 'without crampons, with axe' would do as well? Thanks f...

A perfect day on Ben Cruachan, until the moonlit hobble

https://vimeo.com/37985285 Wow - what a day, as near to perfect as it gets. Apart from the end, but we shall come to that in due course. The weather started cloudy with a light drizzle, but there was one small patch of blue sky that boded well. I have been looking forward to Ben Cruachan since climb...

Video report of a misty day on Beinn Narnain & Beinn Ime

What a day to challenge the waterproofness of your kit. Conclusion is Gore Tex Paclite jacket did a great job all day, but the less said about the waist down, the better. Trouser shopping next on the list then! Anyway here is my video of a day with no views - fortunately the rocky outcrops of Narnai...
