The last of the summer wine. :-| A WH introduction. :-)

Another walk from last month and as the title says the story of how I came upon this great site. On this walk were my good buddys Cammy and Willy. The route chosen was a slight variation on the WH ettrick horseshoe route adapted slightly to suit walkers from moffat (mainly me, yep). Saving a round t...

Re: Dods, cleuchs beetles and toads a walk between scenic roa

Thanks guys and girls.

Mango capri sun, I'll keep my eye out for those.

I'm of the belief that if you take one hundred pictures at least one or two will turn out ok! :) Plus it helps when the sun is shining and the surroundings are so good.

Dods, cleuchs beetles and toads a walk between scenic roads.

Now that we are back to more seasonable weather I'll take this time stuck indoors to reflect on a walk that I went on when the sun was shining. Shining strong enogh to turn my freshly shorn heed scarlet might I add! The walk was a cracker and one which I was fortunate to undertake with my good frien...

Re: Hart Fell Horseshoe

Haha, nice video. Would have liked to have seen some footage of the narrow 'saddle' on saddle yoke! I take it the camera was away so you could negotiate it safely. Hope you enjoyed the drink in the bull, my local. Great to see reports round my area.

Re: Boggy but brisk, Criffel and crisp.

Yeah the views all round were fine. On a clearer day I expect the views would be even better.

Boggy but brisk, Criffel and crisp.

Well for my first walk report I thought, why not keep it simple and do a simple walk! :) So here goes, Criffel by the ardwall path. Along with me on todays walk was my girlfriend Flick who is just beginning to take to walking and puts up with my constant calls of 'hurry up' and 'its not much further...

Re: Hi everybody...

Cheers dude, I can't wait to get out there! Had a wee blast up Criffel today and the views across to the lake district were inspiring. Feel like a total love rat for thinking about doing Skiddaw before a munro!

Hi everybody...

Hello people, I'm Garry and I recently realised that I knew nothing about the area (moffat) I lived thanks to a random guy asking me directions to the devils beef tub without the use of roads. I had no clue what to say to him and this made me want to learn. I bought an OS Explorer and have not looke...
