Re: New starting point!!

We are very aware of all this, and our description does state that the gate leaving the station far platform has been locked (though I understand others are going over it); I believe access rights apply and we've a current complaint with the access authority. However, at present we've been strongly ...

Cuillin rucksack taken - appeal

Message from Mike Lates: Mike Lates has asked us to post this up on the forum in case anyone knows anything. A friend deposited his sack (black Berghaus) in a hollow just down from the top of Scupper Gully next to the Normal Route on Bla Bheinn last Thursday around 9pm before he and his mate headed ...

Re: App login glitch?

Hi Matt I should say first that you don't need to log in to use the app functionality - such as downloading walks, mapping etc. None of these are connected to logging in. In fact you can't login if you are offline, as logging in means logging into the Walkhighlands server, not the app. When you open...

Re: A walk spoilt

Are you willing to report it to the council? I’m sure they’ll want to know that the core path is blocked; even if it wasn't a core path this is illegal but core paths are supposed to be the highest priority.

The walks leaflet isn't connected to core paths (I suspect it predates them).

Re: Just how dry is it?

I think the river levels are the lowest for years for June - normally their lowest levels would be a little later.

Re: A walk spoilt

Interestingly I note that the map for the D&G core paths stops short of that field along the estuary I'm a bit confused now. The Walkhighlands route you have posted this on follows the core paths throughout (apart from the section that's actually a road). https://www.dumgal.gov.uk/article/15304...

Re: NEW FEATURE - Private messaging on Walkhighlands

Also, if you've got one you haven't read, you should get a pop up on the forum - and also it is shown across the top of the screen across all of Walkhighlands that you have an unread message.

Re: Route update

Thanks - we've amended the description as was suggested, but really need to record a new GPX track passing around the fence.

If anyone has one it would be hugely appreciated if they could let us know so we can amend our route fully.

Re: Section of the AKW closed due to water bombing

It is the first section of the Affric Kintail Way, south of Cannich. We have a warning up on our route description page.

Re: It Takes Two (Shallochs)

Thanks for mentioning. It looks like when the Corbett was moved to the correct position the height wasn't changed. The all hills map now thought it was a separate hill to the Donald in the old position. It should only show as one now.

Re: Including maps in walk reports

Yes, there is no longer that link to draw a route directly.

If you uploadg a gpx track still shows as a map in a walk report. If you don't have a track, you can go to https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/maps and draw one, press download, then upload that to your report, which will then work as before.
