Nice report, the photos make it easy to follow. How long did it take you?

My first Skye munro!

I have been looking forward to 'bagging' a skye munro for years. I had planned it a couple of years ago, however, a nasty diagnosis from my neuro-oncologist put pay to that. It didn't stop me going to Skye with my ex and wishing even more that I could get a Skye munro, although my ability to walk no...

Re: Ballachulish Horseshoe

Hi Meatball, they sure are a fine pair of hills, I am looking forward to getting some good photos on my next visit. Some of the munros aren't that interesting but I would happily go back again to do these.

This is the view back after completing both munros and heading to the West side, you get a really nice view of the cliffs from here.

Ballachulish Horseshoe

I decided for an early start. The Mrs was working in the hospital on a night shift so I decided there would be noone to complain about my alarm going off early  3.30 am saw me heading up the M77. There was hardly any traffic, funny that, I guess all sensible folk were still in bed. 5.30 am saw...

Meall a'Choire Leith

Didn't have much time this morning but fancied a different hill today. I have done half of the normal pair this munro is typically done as part of so wasn't worried about doing the normal route. The mountain weather report was pretty rubish but the weather was mainly good... until getting to the top...

Re: Onshore Wind Farms

I don't think people realise the amount of roadwork that is put in with a wind farm, nor the bases which are sunk into peat bogs destroying thousands of years worth of nature. I would stick them offshore, that way we also don't need to worry about giving landowners massive incentives to allow them t...

Ben Nevis

walk from visitor centre car park. Up standard bath, didn't bother trying CMD route today due to weather. Conditions on top very limited visibility and snowing, on return route, this turned to rain. Heavier as walked down.

Re: South Glen Shiel Ridge, Sunday 24th June 2012

Hi, sounds like a plan. This is a good 2 car option. Is the forcan ridge pushing it as a way to finish the day off?
