Park at Craikbeck allong rd over ford then up side of Carrock by sloping path round to summit. Allong ridge and round and up High Pike down path towards Fellside and then around mine rd to car.

Low cloud/rain moderate wind new boots totasl ascent 1862ft

follow Southern upland way from forestry car park at Earshaig. Good path wet in places strong wind occasional sunny spells

Park on road to Blea tarn descend back to Gt Langdale down path allong rd to Stool End Farm Up valley towards red tarn and left up slope to summit descend down to Wrynose path rd via gulley down rd then allong path past Blea tarn to car

Souter Fell

From Mungrisdale up valley to shoulder below Blencathra then up and down souter Fell down payth to road from White Horse Inn follow road back to Mungrisdale. Snow underfoot upto 1 ft deep heavy snow and strong NE wind.

did this route on Saturday 17th Skys like those in the photographs. Apleasent day out not bad for my first munro in 30 years. Hopefully will get a few more before another 30 years up.

Whernside

Parking at the Methodist Chapel Deepdale follow the Craven way until path off on right up Whernside to summit. Return via path via Whernside tarns to Craven way then down path into Deepdale and allong road back to car.
