From the sheep fold on knock fell road across beck and up pylons to silverband mine then to summit of Great dun fell pennine way to knock old man then across onto high scald fell and down line of hush and down to bridge follow wall back to sheepfold.

From Fell End follow coach road then path up Great Dodd along ridge over Watson Dodd and Sty Barrow dodd roiund to white stones then Hart side and Birkett fell down to Dowthwaite Head and along road
