Re: An amble up Glas and Cheathaich

A great wee Sunday "amble", Soulminer! :D I was up these two a few weeks ago and I hardly recognised them - mind you it was nearly dark when I was up there! (see my report http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=17834 ). It looks like the cloud stayed just above ...

Re: The Pass of Drumochter - time to park up and explore!

How come I missed this one, Bod! :-? It looks like you had a great day out amongst the snows of Drumochter! :D I'm fascinated by the way snow can look so blue at times! Valerie told me about the burn you had to ford - I hadn't realised that it was a raging torrent! Cheers! 8)

Re: Hello!

Hi coldwetandhungry! Welcome to Walkhighlands! :D As for good mountains for small people - there are plenty of them. You just need to get out there and find them (along with a little family guidance!). 8)

A wee walk up West Lomond

our_route.gpx It was a glorious day. I should have been up in the Highlands climbing a Munro - but I had somehow missed the fact that the weather was turning out good for my day off on Monday and it was too late to head for the high hills. To tell the truth I had been tired. It had been a hard week...

Re: Respect to the Sisters

A fine report indeed! You worked hard to achieve that Top! My wife reckons I give myself a lot of extra work bagging Tops as well as the Munro's too! So I know how it feels! :D I really like the picture of the ridge with the "delicious meringue-like set of curves and points" - good express...

Re: A tribute to my father

A lovely report and a fitting tribute to your dad, dogplodder. The connection between great-grandfather and great-grandson is so powerful in it. My thoughts are with you in your loss - and may you have many happy memories of your dad as you walk amongst the hills.
