Re: A spectator of the Inn Pinn.

Funnily, I didn't find the Inn Pinn nearly as scary as Sgurr Mhic Coinnich, which I thought was horribly exposed. :?
I love Skye and would happily climb the Pinnacle again, but I don't think I will EVER be persuaded to go up Mhic Coinnich again!

Re: TIME TO VOTE: Best pub in Highlands

Hi Paul,

Can I use my three votes on the one pub?

The staff are so fantastic at the Ledgowan - ordered a pint on the way up to our room and it was delivered just as I was stepping into the bath.

Icy cold pint and hot bubbly bath after a long day in the hills.......bliss!

Cheers

Re: Wainwright Bagging-Final Part 3

Hi Susan,

Just wondering if susanmyatt is a pseudonym, as I was browsing the SMC website ( www.smc.org.uk ) and you should really check out Munro Compleatist number 4265 and her photo. It's an uncanny likeness, although they say everyone has a double.......

Happy Hillwalking

Re: Winter Munroe

Hiya - how about Cruach Ardrain at Crianlarich?
The bog up the side of the forest should be nicely frozen by now - make it much easier going than the usual mud bath in summer.

Re: 2008 Review

Happy New Year to everyone! Well, Rodds - highlights of 2008? Lots of wonderful things spring to mind ....two separate weeks camping on Skye in May and June and there being NO RAIN - yes really -absolutely no rain! (I know it sounds unlikely, but I'm sure Paul will confirm this). ....An Easter trip ...

Re: Carn Mairg circuit from Invervar

Hi Alan,
You should manage the round from Invervar quite easily in six hours. I'm no spring chicken and I've got wheezy lungs and I managed it in that time.Once you are up on the tops, it's a fab round with super views. Hope the weather is not too unkind to you.
All the best

Re: An Socach (Mullardoch)

The chap who operates the little boat on Loch Mullardoch is called Karl and in 2007 his phone number was 01456 415347. He ferried us along to the little lodge at the bottom of the ridge to An Socach and we wandered back along all the Munros and tops. My advice - for what it's worth (not much, I know...

Re: Just saying Hello

Thanks for the welcome Paul. I know just how your friends feel. I didn't want to start ticking another list, but it's almost irresistable....the hills are all so fantastic, and you just get sucked in. We are heading up by Dalwhinnie at the weekend so The Fara looks a definite possibility, so we will...

Just saying Hello

Hi everyone, Just recently joined up and am enjoying all the chat. I've been hillwalking for a good few years and 'compleated' my Munros on Slioch on the 30th of August this year and I know at least two forum members were at the summit party. However am still working on the Tops, Corbetts, Marilyns...
