Edinburgh Central Library exhibition

There's a little exhibition in the Central Library at the moment about Munro and the Munros - mostly about Munro himself on the boards by the main door, and more generally about lists and bagging in the cabinet halfway up the stairs. Nothing specially exciting, but quite pretty to look at. There are...

Re: Advice for bagging all the Munros in a single go.

I was a little surprised by the responses - I've seen much harsher responses to less ambitious projects - but actually I think sometimes the very strong responses backfire and the poster just thinks 'why should I listen to people like that?' And although the idea was ambitious as a whole, if it star...

Re: IP address blocked

It happens to people every so often - it seems to be that your IP rotates on addresses, and you end up with the address last used by someone who was up to something bad. If you search the forums there's some advice about how to get a new IP address more quickly (otherwise it rotates on eventually......

Re: Where's the picture ? - Scotland (part 3)

It's also surprisingly like the Black Hill over Threipmuir reservoir, although the farms are in the wrong place - stock issue scenery, apparently!

Re: Wainwright books

There's nothing wrong with efficient routes - the original books are full of ways of linking up the hills to each other - but I'd have lost a lot of pleasure making up my own routes from sets of those links if I'd let another book do it for me.
