4th evening out

The Nine Mile Burn circuit. I missed out the Font Well as I wanted to pick up Braid Law. And the larches! The jog from Green Law to Patie's Hill was very nice.

3rd evening out

The Glencorse Round - two halfs. The 2nd feeling a lot more remote than the Turnhouse/Carnethy section. Then a long jog back along the road to Flotterstone.

Day one of the evening challenge.

Starting from Bonaly, up to the contrived summit of White Hill, then up a wall line to Capelaw in thick mist, and finally over to Harbour Hill and back to Bonaly. Windy and overcast.

Farragon Hill

3C at the car, patches of snow around 700m. Low cloud broken near summits. The hummocky terrain and billowing clouds made navigation tricky and we got lost a couple of times (see map). Carn a Mhaim & Devil's Point

-5C at the Linn of Dee, cycled on frozen track to Derry Lodge as the sun rose lighting hills rose. We continued over the boggy ground towards Glen Luibeg and dumped the bikes. Creag an Duine & Carn Ban

Starting from Corriemulzie, I cycled to Magoo's Bothy. The following day climbed Creag an Duine via its north east ridge. Then traversed frozen bog to Carn Ban and returned to the bothy.
