Benaquhallie - another wee one with a wide view

Benaquhallie is just 10 minutes drive from home - in fact I can see the hill from the end of the road but for some reason haven't previously climbed it - which turns out to have been a mistake...... I've tried before to walk over all the high ground from Tillyfourie on the A944 over the Corennie Moo...

In rushing for summits, these places are often bypassed and it's great to slow down and spend some time in corries to absorb a bit of their special nature....

Mona Gowan round - a view fit for a Queen (or a goat)

A gloriously warm day with a light breeze. That looks a really good walk Sarah, little trodden despite being on the edge of a pretty well populated area. My daughter lives not too far from there - might be one to do next time I'm down that way!

The colour purple - a short wander up Mount Blair

Whilst travelling home from Perthshire, I had a couple of hours spare and as it was a nice day decided on Mount Blair for a quick wander. The B951 road from the A93 to Kirriemuir is currently (Aug 2013) closed at the A93 junction for what looks to be lengthy improvement works, there's an alternative...
