Re: Page Not Found

We have deleted that route. The last user who walked it felt it was impassable. I went to revisit and although passable, found it in such a boggy state as to be impossible to recommend as a walk. We do delete walks when doing updates if they are no longer up to scratch - I'm just back from rewalking...

Alltrails is nothing to do with Walkhighlands.

You can install the Walkhighlands app on your phone only by going through this link.

Re: Download list of climbed munros in CSV or XLS format?

I’m afraid not. You may be able to copy and paste from the Munro lists.

Re: App - updated version

Some minor changes have gone in to a new version today. One is that when toggling from description to map and back to description, your current scroll position in the walk description is now retained rather than going back to the top, which had been the subject of a few requests. (As with previous u...

Re: App -1 Suggestion & 2 Questions

The fix on the FAQ for the new share button will go in today. I'm also putting live a change so that when you toggle to the map and back to the description, the app retains the currently scrolled-to position in the description rather than going back to the top (which has been a request elsewhere) On...

Re: Parking Fine at Glen Lyon!!! :-(

There have repeatedly been requests made over the last 9 months for a sign at the closed car park, stating where people should park instead (in the layby beyond the restrictions). This would seem to be common sense, giving the info so as to avoid both obstructions and fines for minimal effort. As fa...

Re: App -1 Suggestion & 2 Questions

Many thanks - I'll update the FAQ, sorry to have missed that. The maps don't rotate - N is always at the top - only the little arrow pointing away from your blob indicates direction you are facing (or holding your phone). I'm afraid there isn't anything we can do about that annoying message popping ...

Re: Access denied to website

This means that the current IP address of your router is on a blocklist, for spam or hacking, probably when it was used by someone else and this has now been passed to you by your ISP. I can't see the details as obviously you are having to post on your mobile. However, almost all ISPs change your IP...

Re: GENERAL APP FEEDBACK (not bugs)

Doing a complete clear of your browser cache on Android will delete any saved walks. The app does require your system browser (Chrome on Android, Safari on iOS) to be installed on your device.

Re: How to install the app

I'm opening walkhighlands from chrome

Can I just check you are on Android? (You have to use Safari on iPhone)

If so, when you say the page says you can't install, can you elaborate or provide a screenshot?

App - updated version

The Walkhighlands App is now out of beta and a new version should be reaching you (when you next open the app it will download for the future, it will then install the following time you open the app). There are a few very minor changes - and one that you will likely notice! Based on popular feedbac...

Re: RESOLVED | Bug - or I'm a donkey

Have you looked in the FAQ of the app? There are two different places this can be denied on iOS. If your location is still not shown on iPhone, choose Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Location Services -> Safari websites - set to "Whilst Using the App", and ensure 'Precise Location' is ...
