Re: Mt Fuji out of season. A gruelling hike!

That's some epic hike MB and a great write up. To achieve the ascent after seeking to do it for so long must have been exhilarating (well worth high fiving like a couple of losers   ) I'm absolutely sure I would suffocate at that altitude, though with virtually no water I might have dehydr...

Great post Jacob   Some stunning photos on day 1 (yes even your artistic selfie   ) The hike has a lot of interesting points for just an hour or so walking and lovely critters too which always make it so much better. Day 2 was a bit of a write off by the look of it but at least...

Aaah, the rain, the peat hags and the views....all the good stuff in one place  Given the low cloud at the start mate you did well to get any views at all  I agree with you about the wonder of places like angle tarn with the sun scattering off the surface, so many people pay a fortune to...

Re: This one's all about Chris.

There's some graft in this one for a winter wander TM but well worth the effort. Those beautiful clear air 'see for miles' days are one of the best things about winter hikes

Re: East Coast Trail into St. John's - Newfoundland, Canada

Great stuff Lafrances, me and MrsW are hoping to get a trip to Newfoundland this year so this was really interesting for me. Ours would likely be either may/june for iceberg spotting or sept/oct for fall colours  Anyway, it was a joy to read your adventures and I'm glad to see you did so well...
