Re: Meall Greigh, Meall Garbh and An Stuc

Good effort especially with An Stuc in snowy conditions. :D And I agree with you regarding Meall Greigh as it seems a long walk but I thought the best way to tackle it is head on and not by following the burn. Also the better way around the Lochan as you begin to head for home is down the left had s...

Re: Ben Challum

Re: Glen Lyon II - the scrapheap challenge

Its amazing how this walk seems never to be straightforward though its a great way to bag 4 Munro's once you are at Carn Gorm. Well done in getting some views across to Scheihallion. I've done this twice and was drenched twice and the walk down is brutal and seems neverending. Ok I've said enough an...

Re: Beinn a' Ghlo

Good to see you guys having great weather and seeing what we missed when we had a navigation error in poor conditions and didn't get to Briagh Coire Chrunn-bhalgain. There followed the longest walk out for Su and myself. :( So we will be going back one day to complete this walk which is highly rated...

Re: Decisions, decisions: heads or hearts on the ridge

It was great to meet up again and to hear that you are moving to Scotland means we will see each other out on the hills. Great report and understable after 3 days of walking to pick your walk in Kintail. Brilliantly told and super photos have made me earmark these 2 for the future. :D BTW must do be...

Just to say thanks Bod and Val for organising this WH meet and also for organising the weather and the opportunity to

Re: The Horns Herald a double Hundered

What can I say, Wullie, the very least is well done on your 100th which you have fittingly put into a report of that is worthy of your walk. A great acheivement given all that has happened to Elizabeth and she will be so proud of you. :D Also as a man of the rock you give everything to your walks and...

Five Sisters With Many Having a Naughty Weekend

P1010883.JPG We had been out and about in the hills for the last three weeks trying to get fit for the WH Kintail as we knew that if the weather held that we were going to do one of the most iconic walks in Scotland if not in the UK – The Five Sisters of Kintail. So no pressure then, as having drop...

Re: Beinn a'Bheithir

I have done these two and it is nice to see what the scenery looks like as we had pouring rain all day long and ended by the longest walk back to Glencoe Hostel that night!  Looks like you had a great walk and I always think that the path seems more narrower than it actually is. :D

Re: Super Schiehallion

Good wee report and well done on getting the hills named. We did this when there was snow on it and so didn't understand why other walkers talked of the boulder field! :D

Re: Walking amongst Glencoe Giants. Sgurr a’ Choise & Meal M

What a great walk and loved the pictures of Bidean and the view up Glencoe. :D Also the wee gap in the fence was a bit of good planning! Reminds me I need to go back to complete Bidean as fell short by a short head last year when the weather was again unseasonally warm...
