Beinn Sgritheall-the cost of public transport

Way back in the heady, summer days of 2010... As always it starts with a grand plan- me and a friend to bag ourselves 16 of Glen Shiel's munros in two days...well the forecasts were pretty grim- mainly just involving lots of cloud, people that know us look down on us for being "fair weather wal...

Re: Sgurr Na Ciche Whit a Peach

I have to say i really hate early mornings but when camping im happy to make exceptions- the less time spent trying to sleep the better! As a first experience for setting out in real darkness itd be something to do again- on a nice day! The chippy front is a real shame itd be great to have somewhere...

Why does work have to take up all the good days! Too envious for words, this winter better have more days like that in store for us! Im sure you could have picked a far worse hill- gave you some spectacular views and the squelching doesnt show on the photos-except for the one obviously! Every...

Re: My first wild camp with a wander round Glen Ey & Glenshee

Geez! You must have really got to appreciate pain after that! Got some good pictures though with some great colours so i guess its worth it! I dont understand why people walk in gaiters either- i get really sweaty ankles unless its freezing so only wear them when necessary, maybe it makes some feel ...

Re: The Slaying of Five Orchy's!

It was a bit of a slog after being out of the game for 10 months or so- in fact my knees have still not recovered from that descent of Beinn Dorain apparently losing 800 and some metres in the first 1km! If doing this route again (highly unlikely  ) i would definately do it the other wa...

Re: Liathach on Fire...
