Good report and nice photos, I will have to keep this in mind for the winters days that I can't get to a Munro. Another really nice walk in this area is the River Avon, which runs from Avon Bridge to Linlithgow bridge, not great at times of heavy rain fall as it can get a bit muddy, but great every ...

the land rover tracks do make a bit of an ugly scar on the hill but dinny half make for easy walking I once hitched a lift from Coylum Bridge to Ryvoan with a bloke who had been a bulldozer driver in the team that built those tracks in the Cairngorms, in the late 40s and 50s.
