Raven Crag to Ullscarf
Whilst the ground was still frozen I decided to do some more hills to add to my list in the central fells. These fells are notoriously boggy most of the year so as the thaw had not yet set in properly I expected mostly frozen paths, and mostly that was true. I was also hoping I might get lucky with ...

Re: Whinlatter, Lord's Seat, Barf
Another inversion report! I have yet to see one
Nice pics, I did these on a really hot day last year, the path between Whinlatter and Lord's Seat I found difficult to follow due to the forestry.

Re: Moel Siabod Wildcamp: 360 Inversion and fabulous sunset
Nice pics of the inversion, I'm still waiting to see one myself.
The night sky looks lovely as well.
Hope you can repair the Neoair maybe the rocky surface punctured it?
Mike

This is Knott the path!
Carrock Fell, High Pike and Knott. I thought I would continue with the Northern fells whilst the weather wasn’t too bad. However this trip the weather was a bit more mild and misty than I had anticipated. I drove just beyond Mosedale village and parked the car off the road near Stone Ends farm, at a...

A Sunday stroll to Dodd
Dodd walk Sunday 18th January 2015 Me and Deb parked at the Old Sawmill Forestry commission car park opposite Mirehouse marked on the OS map. Little winge about the £4.80 to park for four hours! our_route.gpx This was not even the charge for the full day. The tea rooms weren’t even open this...

Re: Journey to the Center of the Lake District
Nice pics, pity about the car park being expensive, too many of them are! This is the right time of year for bagging this one which I still have to do. :) Cheers Mike, I see you also have the 'delightful' Armboth Fell to do also. Another to bag while the freeze lasts. I would like to link up the tw...

That ‘sinking feeling’ on Mungrisdale Common
The weather forecast looked good, there had been snowfall and freezing conditions on the fells for a few days, so I planned to do these Northern fells as they can be boggy in places usually, but now would be frozen over. I hadn’t been out hillwalking on a hard walk since November so needed a good wa...
